Union Missionary Baptist Association, Inc.
Moderator's Desk

I am extremely honored to have been elected the Moderator, Union Missionary Baptist Association. I accept the responsibilities of your trust. I am boundlessly grateful for the votes of every church delegate who has empowered me to lead the daily growth towards Kingdom Building.
Our Association requires continued growth. As mentioned during the annual session, I will focus my attention on C.U.E. (Communicate, Unite and Educate).
As Moderator, I will maintain the Association’s rich tradition of success in the area of spiritual growth through cooperate prayer and practical actions. I will lead responsibly and with accountability. I will uphold the UMBA constitution. I will ensure every pastor and church are informed on the progress of the Association’s goals and objectives through all means of communication to include cutting edge technology.
I will ensure continued quality training throughout the association at all levels for spiritual growth through meaningful institutes.
I will promote youth participation across the association giving them not only training opportunities, but leadership opportunities that will give our youth a sense of ownership in ministry.
I believe in Kingdom vision with Kingdom building. We will use every resource at our disposal to revitalize every non-functional church within the association. Giving them whatever reasonable assistance needed to restore them back to full activity and participation in the association.
I am committed to the objectives of the General Baptist State Convention, which includes but is not limited to State Missions, Lott Carey Baptist Home and Foreign Missions, Central Children’s Home, Shaw University, Shaw University and Divinity School, J.J. Johnson Baptist Assembly, and The Ricks Institute.
Thank you again for your trust in me. I solicit your prayers, support, and cooperation as we move towards Kingdom Building. I will justify your trust to the best of my competence and knowledge. May God continue to bless each of you.
Your humble Servant in Christ,
Reverend Mark A. Rowden
